Join local author William B. Patrick for an exhibition of photographs and a reading from his recently released book Saving Troy: A Year with Firefighters and Paramedics in a Battered City, a compelling chronicle of a year with professional firefighters and paramedics in a down-at-the-heels, rust-belt city that is committed to changing its fortunes.

A panel of firefighter-paramedics who were featured in the book will discuss the current state of public safety in the Capital Region and what the future might hold.

Panelists include:
Gary Favro, Retired Fire Captain, 25 year paramedic in the city of Troy, and current Public Safety Labor Representative for United Public Service Employees Union
Jeff Gordon, Fire Captain, 18 year paramedic with the Troy Fire Department
Ric Moreno, Retired Fire Captain, 20 year paramedic with the Troy Fire Department, and paramedic with Town of Colonie and W. F. Bruen Rescue Squad
David Paul, Fire Captain, 10 year paramedic with the Troy Fire Department
